INTERNSHIPS

Our course selection suits all those who not only want to learn Italian but who also have an interest in Italian culture, civilization, history, politics, economics, art, music, cinema, etc. and who are trying to complete a major or minor degree at their home institution. Courses can belong to more than one field of study with approval of your advisor.

Each course is a 3-credit course, unless otherwise indicated.

NOTE: Italian language courses have more than one option, so credits will vary.

HOW TO CHOOSE YOUR STUDY PLAN

- Students can freely choose courses (up to five) from any listed field(s) of study, for a maximum of 15 credits.
- Students may design a personal study plan provided that he/she gets written approval from their student advisor (Advisor Approval Form).

MATERIALS

Students must purchase their own books and study packs. Costs vary from Euro 50 to Euro 100. Extra costs are detailed in the individual course syllabi, which are available upon request.

All Studio Art classes require students to buy their own materials. Costs vary from Euro 50 to Euro 250, depending on the course. All costs are detailed in the course syllabi. We advise Studio Art students to purchase their materials in Florence after having spoken with their instructors.

GRADES AND TRANSCRIPTS

At the end of the courses, the professors will calculate the students' exam scores, homework, class participation, attendance, etc. and will assign an equivalent grade. Students should be aware that class attendance is mandatory. Absence due to illness will be excused, upon the presentation of a doctor's note (we remind students that medical care is included). Absence due to traveling, or holidays not recognized by the Italian State , will not be accepted as an excused absence (unless discussed and approved in advance by the instructor). An excess of unexcused absences (25% or more of the course hours) will automatically fail the student.

Grade equivalents are calculated as follows:
